An excellent example of the classic Freeman 22 Mk2, Friday's Child has been renovated to a very high standard, and is ideal for river cruising and estuarial adventures.
Her canopy and cabin cover were made by Sparks Marine Trimmers in a colour to match the transom bench seat in the cockpit. There is seating for 4 in the cockpit, including the helm position. The helm includes wheel, throttle, and all switches and gauges needed to safely operate the boat, as well as the classic Freeman gear lever rising from the deck. The cockpit floor has been replaced with elegant Parquet flooring and there is generous storage under the transom seat.
Friday's Child comprises of four berths in an open plan cabin that can be divided into two by opening a full length locker door. The large V berth with twin singles in the bow converts to a double with the use of an insert, and this forward cabin has shelving, and access to the deck hatch.
The well designed main cabin has a galley to starboard comprising a two burner gas hob, a small basin with a mixer tap, and ample storage cupboards beneath. A dinette lies to port that converts to a double berth when the table is lowered. A lovely glass and drinks cabinet is mounted on the bulkhead behind. There is plenty of storage under the seating with a full length locker for additional needs. All interior trim, including the curtains, were made by Freeman trimmer Paul Carter. Friday's Child has been updated with LED touch lighting in the cabin.
Opposite the locker is the heads consisting of a Thetford Porta Potti cassette toilet.
The 975 cc Ford Watermota 105E engine has recently been serviced. In the last 2 years she's had 2 new batteries and had all her electronics replaced. She has a new 200w solar panel, and a diesel air heater.
Friday's Child comes complete with fenders, original mast, tonneau cover, navigation lights, and all accoutrements needed to head straight onto the waterways.
She is sold with a Boat Safety Scheme certificate valid until 20/09/2029.
