A beautiful example of a Dutch steel displacement motor cruiser, this Skiron 35 from Pedro Boats, is perfect for river and coastal adventures. Originally commissioned in Germany, she has cruised the Norfolk Broads, French inland waterways, and for the last five years, been at home on the Thames. She has been lovingly maintained by her current owners who are looking to downsize after making many happy memories aboard. She would make a great liveaboard as well as being ideal for quick getaways or longer holidays. We really recommend booking a viewing so you can see for yourself how fantastic a vessel she is.
Her spacious teak aft deck comprises helm seat with excellent visibility, engine controls with all the gauges and gadgets needed to safely cruise her, including rev counter/engine hours, oil pressure, temperature gauge, volt meter, Raymond speed indicator, Echo pilot depth sounder, Raymarine chart plotter, autopilot, ICOM 505 radio transceiver and handset. A bench style deck box provides storage as well as an extra seat. Additional folding chairs allow seating for guests, and a folding Fermob table can be used for food and drinks. She has a folding bimini cover and collapsible mast which allow for cruising inland waterways, but her original radar arch and a full stern cover are currently in storage and available. A sturdy ladder gives access down onto the generous bathing platform with the escape hatch for the main cabin in the transom, gas and storage lockers, and an extension to the ladder folds down to provide access to the water for swimming during hot summer days.
Wooden steps lead from the back deck into a saloon with generous headroom. There is a U-shaped upholstered seating area with storage below, and an adjustable dining table to starboard. Opposite, is an array of storage cupboards, one of which contains the main switchboard and electronics. There is beautiful teak and holly flooring throughout, and inspection hatches provide access to the very well maintained Perkins Sabre M135 6 cylinder engine.
Steps from the saloon lead into the galley which comprises a 4 burner gas hob, sink with mixer tap, drainer and work surfaces to port, sliding doors behind reveal crockery storage, and an Isotherm fridge and extra storage is located below. There is access to an overhead escape hatch. The first head (toilet) lies to starboard and comprises a wet room with shower, basin with mixer tap, and storage below, and an electric toilet.
Moving to the bow, a compact but airy cabin contains a V-berth that provides sleeping for two, with under-bed storage.
From the saloon, steps lead to the aft cabin accommodating a double walk-around bed, storage and hanging space, opening rear window / escape hatch to the bathing platform, and access to an en-suite bathroom comprising toilet, wash hand basin with shower tap.
Hot water is provided by calorifier, and heating via Webasto hot air. OYA has three domestic batteries, one for the starter motor, two for the thrusters, and one for the anchor winch. She has hook-up to mains power as well as a 12 v electric supply, with multiple sockets and USB ports.
OYA comes complete with bow thruster, stern thruster, all lines, fenders, life jackets and buoyancy aids needed to safely go cruising. She was last out of the water and antifouled in 2023, and her Boat Safety Certificate is valid until July 2026.
