This exclusive early model of the Freeman 30 was built in 1962. It represented Freemans first step into the medium size cruiser market and could be fitted out to customers requirements. This particular boat has recently finished an extensive refurbishment over 5 years and is now in beautiful condition and draws admiring glances and comments wherever she is moored. Her construction consists of a heavily laid glass fibre hull and cabin roofs, with mainly mahogany superstructure. She was last out of the water for winter storage in 2021 and relaunched in June 2022.

Barbara Gordon has 6 berths located in the forward and aft cabins. Access to the vessel is via the centre cockpit which contains a helm and navigator's seat as well as 2 folding bench seats. The cockpit is equipped with radio telephone, 4G Connect, compass, AIS, cameras, router, radar and GPS amongst all the other gadgets and devices needed to navigate her.

A step down and double doors lead from the cockpit to the aft cabin, which contains 2 single berths with reading lights, escape hatch, a chest of drawers and a storage unit with wash basin. A toilet compartment offers an electric pump toilet to holding tank.

The forward cabin consists of a dinette to port which converts to a double berth with a bulkhead mounted TV above. The galley to starboard has a gas/electric Carvin fridge, Voyager 4500 gas 2 burner hob on gimbals, 12v electric water heater and cupboards and drawer for storage. There are 2 comfy looking V-berths in the bow, with an escape hatch above.

Barbara Gordon is powered by 2 x Parsons Pike Ford 4D marinised engines and only has 40 hrs running time since her last service in 2021. She also comes with a solar panel and battery charger. The canvas canopy and covers along with internal cushions were made by the Canvas Man. Much love has gone into restoring her and now she is virtually finished. However, due to a change in her current owner's circumstances it has become time to sell, and so an opportunity has arisen for someone new to become her loving custodian. All in all, Barbara Gordon is a very pretty vessel at home cruising on the river, but also capable of sea passages. She is well worth a viewing.

She comes complete with a Boat Safety Certificate valid until 2026.
